Deer and Coyotes at Nance Pond

A week ago, I set up a game cam near the pond in back. Today I checked the camera and found visits by deer and coyotes. We often hear the coyotes at night. Here are six photos – Please enjoy!

it shows up in the pictures...I am a US citizen (born in California), though spent my childhood through high school living primarily in SE Asia, giving me a deep view of both East and West.

  1. Hi.
These pictures are wonderful. Many deer and coyotes at your place!
It reminds me a lot of the place where i live… So many animals around. Deer, foxes, bears…Apparently there are some woolfs around again the last few years…
But we don’t have coyotes. I am interested what would happen if a person encountered a coyote?

  2. Excellent! Yes I really thrive in nature and love all of the animals. Your area sounds beautiful and wild also. Everyone loves to see the graceful and gentle deer, but it is also a definite sign that the larger predators are about – I am most careful of the bears. I used to take bear spray with me, but now prayers are enough before setting out, and always common sense. The coyotes are very shy and those around here are fairly small. I am in their territory quite often and have only seen them ever at a distance. I am quite close to the turkey vultures, who will expressly circle over to me in hopes I will take pictures of them. They will also wave at me. It has taken a few years but they now know me well. The hummingbirds too.
