Fire Moon Crescent – Halloween Night 2019

I ran for my camera (Nikon P900) when I saw the moon setting this evening. The red orange color of the moon is produced by sunlight moving through the fire and smoke produced by a large wildfire near the coast, about 90 miles away:

it shows up in the pictures...I am a US citizen (born in California), though spent my childhood through high school living primarily in SE Asia, giving me a deep view of both East and West.
